Ready to say goodbye to pesky sun spots, pimple marks and melasma patches? IPL Facial Rejuvenation to the rescue!

Give me the lowdown

IPL is an incredibly effective treatment for hyperpigmentation, one of the most frustrating skin concerns! It works by treating the skin with quick and powerful flashes of light that penetrate below the skin’s surface where melanin (aka unwanted brown pigment) lives. During your IPL facial at our Perth clinic, the heat helps break down the pigment into tiny little particles that are whisked away by the lymphatic system or rise to the skin’s surface as scabs that will naturally fall off within a week or two. All you have to worry about is looking forward to a super clear, more evenly-toned complexion!

Is it right for me?

Our IPL Skin Rejuvenation facial is an excellent treatment for stimulating collagen to improve uneven skin tone and texture, hyperpigmentation, broken capillaries, sun damage and discoloured skin. It’s also a great option for treating rosacea and killing p.acne! PS - if you’ve got some pesky spots elsewhere on your beautiful bod, let us know and we can assess if they’re suitable for treatment!

Did somebody say benefits?

Rejuvenates the skin by removing pigmentation Great for treating broken capillaries Stimulates collagen and improves skin texture Reduces signs of ageing like pesky fine lines and wrinkles Excellent for calming redness Quick, effective and zero downtime!

How many treatments will I need?

Although those pesky spots won’t vanish right away, you can expect to see some progress after your first treatment. For best results, most people will need 4 IPL facial sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart.

Is there any downtime?

Our IPL facial has zero downtime and minimal pain, which means you can get back to business as soon as you leave your appointment! While there’s no downtime, it’s totally normal to experience darkening of freckles for around 3-7 days before they start to fade.

Handy to know

Winter is the perfect time to schedule in your IPL appointments because less sun exposure means less chance of hyperpigmentation on your freshly IPL’d skin! The cooler weather also helps fast track the healing process due to all that time spent rugged up indoors.

SC Pro Tip

The most important thing you can do while having IPL treatments is stay the heck out of the sun! Without adequate sun protection, exposing your freshly IPL’d skin to UV rays will result in darkening of the very spots you’re trying to reduce (and we know ain’t nobody for time for that!) In addition to minimising your time in the sun, be sure to slather on your SPF daily to help keep those dark spots at bay and your complexion crystal clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is IPL Good for Skin Rejuvenation?

Yes, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is effective for skin rejuvenation. It helps to improve various skin concerns such as sun damage, age spots, freckles, and uneven skin tone by using light energy to target pigmentation and stimulate collagen production. This non-invasive treatment also reduces redness and can improve the overall texture and clarity of the skin, resulting in a more youthful and radiant appearance. Many of our clients opt for IPL as a part of their treatment as it caters to a range of skin issues with minimal downtime.

How Long Does IPL Skin Rejuvenation Last?

The longevity of our IPL Skin Rejuvenation results can vary based on individual skin conditions and how well post-treatment care is adhered to. Typically, the benefits of a full series of treatments can last for several months, and maintenance sessions are often recommended every 6 to 12 months to prolong the results. As always we recommend sun protection, and for you to follow a consistent skincare routine which can help maintain the rejuvenated skin appearance from your IPL Facial Rejuvenation treatment.

What is the Downside of IPL?

IPL is not suitable for all skin types, especially those with darker skin tones, due to a higher risk of pigmentation changes. During your consultation, before your treatment, we will evaluate your skin’s suitability and discuss any concerns we may have prior.
