Give me the lowdown

At Skin Collective, we believe beautiful skin begins with knowledge. Our advanced Skin DNA Report goes beyond the surface, analysing the unique genetic markers that influence how your skin ages, repairs, and responds to stressors. Combined with an in-depth clinical assessment, this multi-faceted approach allows our team to create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your skin’s individual needs, from protecting collagen and elasticity to enhancing hydration, clarity, and resilience. It’s skincare, but smarter: a collective blend of science, technology and expert insight that uncovers your skin’s deepest story and transforms it into a plan for lasting radiance. So how does it work? Step 1: Collect. You’ll take a quick, easy cheek swab in the clinic, no blood, no fuss. Then we’ll seal it and send it off to our partnered lab. Step 2: Analyse. Our leading and world-renowned lab partner examines your DNA across key skin-health categories: Firmness & Elasticity, Wrinkling (Glycation), Sun Damage & Pigmentation, Free Radical Protection, and Sensitivity/Inflammation, they do this by using proprietary algorithms and their extensive genetic database. Step 3: Unlock Insights: Within 1-2 weeks, you’ll receive a beautifully designed custom Skin DNA Report that ranks your genetic predispositions and visualises your “skin-aging risk factors”. Step 4: Your Tailored Skin Products & Treatments Await: Based on your genetic profile, you’ll get tailored recommendations spanning skincare ingredients, skin treatments, and supplements to future-proof your skin.

Is it right for me?

You want skincare that’s more than guesswork, skincare that’s scientifically personal? You find yourself overwhelmed by conflicting advice and thousands of products? You believe prevention is better than correction and want to stay ahead of your skin’s needs? You’re ready for a long-term investment in your skin’s health and radiance, because let’s face it, your DNA doesn’t change? Well then our Skin DNA is definitely for you and we highly recommend every client undergoes a Skin DNA Test for the most customised treatment plan and skincare recommendations.

Did somebody say benefits?

• Tailored recommendations over trends: You’ll get recommendations tailored precisely to your genetic profile, not broad beauty trends. • Save time, money & frustration: No more trial-and-error purchases. Your skin routine will be completely optimised from the start. • One-and-done test: You only need to take the test once. Your genes don’t change. • Informed prevention: Know which skin-aging processes you’re genetically predisposed to and how to address them early. • Backed by science: There’s nothing we love more than Science. Our Skin DNA Reports provide results which are powered by proprietary algorithms, decades of research, and from one of the world’s biggest skin-genetics databases.

Is there any downtime?

None. This is a non-invasive, cheek swab, inside the mouth. There’s no pain, no recovery….just peace of mind.

Handy to know

Your personalised results are generated via industry-leading algorithms and matched against a global database of millions. We rely on a leading, well known and reputable lab in the East Coast, who do not share any of your personalised data or results, giving you the peace of mind you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve done the DNA test, do I need to take it again?

No, your DNA results do not change. Instead, use this report to allow you to determine the best course of action to combat any unfavourable genetic outcomes.

How dependable are the Skin DNA Test results?

If we identify dependability as the scientific accuracy of the process, it’s as predictable as can be – currently 99.96%. There’s a small margin for error, however the technical measures we have implemented ensure very high accuracy. While your genes are a big determinant in skin outcomes, it’s also important to note that your lifestyle and diet can also play a role too. For example, if a client’s Skin DNA results determine they’re more prone to wrinkling, they may not necessarily experience this problem in later years if they are careful with their lifestyle choices.

I scored Low Risk in the test, yet I have all the visible signs – what does this mean?

We identify genetic factors only. What you do on the outside also impacts your skin. For example, are you genetically Low Risk in Collagen Breakdown, yet have visible signs? Consider your lifestyle: do you run, jog or cycle? These types of motions can cause gravity to strike faster. Low risk in Skin Sensitivity yet have visible signs? Consider your skincare: are you using products with actives that can strip the skin? Are you over-exfoliating your skin? These are some factors to consider if you score Low Risk but have all the symptoms.

I scored high risk in the test, but I have no visible signs?

Genetically your results are accurate. The Skin DNA Genetic test can help to identify risk factors at a DNA level. What you do externally matters, too. For example, are you High Risk in Wrinkling/Glycation yet have no visible signs? Consider your lifestyle: do you have a low sugar diet? Do you regularly use skincare? These are some factors to consider if you score High Risk but have all the symptoms.

How do I select recommendations from my Skin DNA Test results?

In Section Three of this report you will be presented with a list of recommendations based on Higher and Medium Risk categories. While there may be several recommendations, we suggest speaking with your skincare professional and selecting 2-3 from each category.

Why are there no recommendations for Low Risk?

The Skin DNA Genetic test was developed to allow patients to understand what skin areas they should focus on as a priority.

While Low Risk categories are still of importance, our algorithms determine that the lower risk categories should be something as a secondary step to be discussed with a professional at a time when you have targeted the higher priority categories.
